Every object has a story waiting to be told. Many of the belongings that collect dust in our lives are also artifacts of our experience. Within these photographs, I have used toys and personal mementos as substitutes for people in order to create metaphor.

I make these photographs not from a documentary concern but to reconstruct my own personal narrative. Placed in the context of my childhood environment, stories of hope, longing, melancholy and humor are revealed in these photographs of porcelain animals and plastic homes.
